Katy Dammers produces large-scale festivals, complex commissions, and theatrical presentations by working closely with artists and colleagues to organize logistics, manage deadlines, and creatively problem-solve.

  • River To River Festival: Producing Director 2024

    Organized the annual festival programmed by the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council—New York City’s completely free summer arts festival celebrating artistic and creative diversity across disciplines, and presenting live art and installation in public spaces and in partnership with leading institutions in Lower Manhattan. Worked with artists including Samita Sinha, jaamil olawale kosoko, NIC Kay, Miguel Gutierrez, mayfield brooks, and many others to produce premiere performances, exhibitions, and redux presentations.

  • Jacob's Pillow: Producer 2022

    Guest producer for the 90th Anniversary gala, celebrating the renovation of the Ted Shawn Theatre and honoring Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui with the Jacob’s Pillow Dance Award. Performances by artists including The School at Jacob’s Pillow Contemporary Ballet Performance Ensemble, Adam Weinert, Sara Mearns & Gilbert Bolden III, Kinetic Light, and Irene Rodríguez, and a world premiere by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui.

    Guest producer for America(na) to Me, a showcase of the diversity of contemporary American dance curated by Melanie George and Ali Rosa-Salas with performances from Warwick Gombey Troupe, Jasmine Hearn, Nélida Tirado, Alexandra Tatarsky, and Pillow commissions performed by Dormeshia & Guests, Sara Mearns & Joshua Bergasse, and Mythili Prakash.

  • Jacob's Pillow: Interim Producing Director 2021

    Worked closely with Executive and Artistic Director Pam Tatge and leadership team to bring back the annual summer festival as an all-outdoor, COVID-compliant program that featured dance on the outdoor stage, site-specific venues across the 200-acre campus, and local parks across Berkshire County.
